Yes.  An SR22A Non-Owners policy is needed to reinstate your suspended license, if you don’t own a vehicle or have regular access to one.  A lot of our clients need an SR22A Non-Owners Filing initially.  If a vehicle is purchase a Non-Owners policy, can be converted to an Owner-Operator policy.

What’s The Difference Between an SR22 & SR22A in Georgia?

SR22 Filings are for habitual offenders with 3 or more major violations within a 5 year period.  SR22A Filings are for drivers who are not considered habitual offenders.  SR22A Filings are more common in Georgia.  The 2 most common reasons for an SR22A Filing are Driving Without Insurance & Driving With a Suspended License.

I live in Georgia, but I need a filing in another state. Can you help with that?

Yes. We can write a Georgia policy, but you should file your SR22 in the state that has a hold on your driver’s license.  If your driver’s license was suspended in another state, you’ll likely need a filing in order to get a Georgia driver’s license.

What is Georgia Non-Owners SR22 & SR22A Insurance?

If you do not own a vehicle but need to get your driver’s license reinstated, you’ll need a Non-Owners SR22 or SR22A Filing.  If you obtain a vehicle within the policy period, an SR22 Non-Owners Insurance policy can be converted to an Owner-Operator SR22 Insurance policy.

Do I have to pay for the policy in full?

If you need a Georgia filing, it must be paid in full.  If you need a filing in another state, most likely, the premium can be paid in installments.

What Process is Involved in Getting a Georgia SR22 or SR22A?

Make sure you contact the Georgia Department of Driver Services at (866) 754-3687 (www.dds.ga.gov) to find out all of the requirements needed to reinstate your driver’s license. Once we give you a money saving quote and you decide that you would like to proceed, we can process a policy over the phone and fax your SR22 or SR22A Filing directly to Georgia Department of Driver Services.  We will also email or fax a copy of your SR22 or SR22A Filing directly to you.  Take this copy of the filing that we provide you to the Driver’s License office and pay any outstanding fees to get your driver’s license reinstated.  We make the process of purchasing an SR22 Georgia insurance policy from us very simple.
